What is Wingfoiling?

Wingfoiling is the new sensation in the world of watersports. A Sport that you can enjoy both on flat water and on waves. Wingfoiling can be done in much lighter wind conditions than Windsurfing, so in case the wind is not strong enough for your windsurfing experience , you can switch to this amazing alternative.

What equipment do you need?

First you will need a board to stand on: In our center you can use Fanatic Sky Wing Boards with a volume of 125l, as well as Fanatic Sky Hybrid Boards which are suitable for Windsurf Foiling, SUP Foiling and Wingfoiling with a volume of 142l. Attached to the bottom of the board is a foil: We stock Fanatic Aero Foils with a mast length of 82cm and Front Wings of 2000cm² (high aspect), 1750cm² (high aspect) and 1550cm² (low aspect). Finally you will need the Wing to hold in your hand. We offer two types of Wings: Duotone Slick in the sizes 4.0 ; 5.0 ; 6.0 and 7.0 m². And Duotone Slick SLS 2023 in the sizes 3.5 ; 4.0 ; 4.5 and 5.0 m².

Is Wingfoiling harder to learn than Windsurfing or Kitesurfing?

Actually Wingfoiling is easier to learn than Windsurfing or Kitesurfing. It doesn’t take much time to get comfortable with riding, staying upwind, and jibing. You will learn the wing control skills separately from the foil skills.
When you come to our center our instructors will start on shore with you by giving you an introduction into the gear setup and Wing handling. Afterwards we move directly into the water to start sailing: first you learn how to balance the board standing upright and move across the water. Once you get more stable, you learn how to go upwind, turn and how to gain speed.
When you are comfortable with all these elements we will reduce the volume of the board until you are ready to move onto the small foil board on which we will work on levitating out of the water.
